Nominator's project description
| Prof. Yanyao Jiang receives the Bessel Award for the development of a new material model in combination with an advanced fatigue life prediction algorithm for engineering components subjected to complex multi-axial loading. Prof. Jiang's method shall be combined with methods developed at three German universities in order to further improve the prediction capabilities. This will lead to a more reliable design of light weight structures, thus helping to save energy and conserve natural resources. |
